Villa del Balbianello

Perched on a wooded promontory in Lenno, Villa del Balbianello is widely considered the most beautiful estate on Lake Como. With its famous terraced gardens and the iconic three-arched loggia, it has served as the backdrop for films like Star Wars and James Bond: Casino Royale.

You can reach it via a lovely forest walk from Lenno or arrive in style by water taxi.

Villa Carlotta

Located in neighboring Tremezzo, Villa Carlotta is a masterpiece of 17th-century architecture and one of the lake's most celebrated destinations. Set across 20 acres of botanical paradise, it offers a perfect blend of high art and serene nature.

  • The Gardens: Famous for its spectacular spring flowering of azaleas and rhododendrons, the garden also features a bamboo forest, a citrus tunnel, and ancient sequoias. Thanks to the Tremezzina’s mild microclimate, it remains lush and vibrant throughout the season.
  • The Museum: Inside the villa, you’ll find a refined collection of neoclassical art, including masterpieces by Canova and Hayez, all housed within rooms that still echo the grandeur of the Italian nobility.

The Ultimate Perspective: To truly appreciate the grand estates, you must see them from the water. We highly recommend hiring a private boat for an afternoon; it’s the most magical way to experience the lake’s beauty. Best of all, "Hiring a Boat" is just a 10-minute walk from NaLia.

Moments from Our Doorstep

The Ossuccio Waterfront

  • The Experience: Just a short stroll from NaLia, the Ossuccio lakefront offers one of the most authentic atmospheres on the lake. The Ospedaletto area features a spacious, grassy "Lido" (free public beach) shaded by olive trees—perfect for a morning swim in the calm waters facing the island or a relaxed afternoon of sunbathing.
  • Dining with a View: The waterfront is home to local lakeside dining where you can enjoy fresh, local flavors right at the water's edge. Whether you are looking for a casual aperitivo as the sun sets behind the mountains or a refined dinner overlooking the illuminated Isola Comacina, the restaurants here offer a front-row seat to the lake’s beauty.

Parco Ossuccio

  • The Local Experience: Located just steps from NaLia, this park is where the soul of the Tremezzina truly shines, hosting vibrant local festivals throughout the year. It is a rare lakeside gem where you can find a high-energy morning of Tennis or Paddle ball, a dedicated kids’ playground, and a stylish lounge and bar for a sunset Aperol Spritz. It’s the ultimate "local secret"—a place to mingle with residents and soak in authentic lake life with panoramic views of the Lake and Isola Comacina that rival any five-star hotel.

The Greenway del Lago: A Walk Through History

  • The Experience: NaLia is perfectly positioned directly on the Greenway, a world-renowned 10km leisure path that winds through ancient villages, hidden gardens, and stunning lakefronts.
